RL = Alive.

Fandom = Strange.

The Vampire Diaries is so very awesome. Teenage girls that are smart, independent and different from each other. Plots that are interesting, vampires with issues, a higher body count than most show can rack up in several seasons. Oh, and a teenage boy as the vampire bait. HAHAHAHA! This cracks me up so very much.

Also, vampire brothers who are obsessed with each other but who have more healthy relationships with women than the Winchesters can ever manage. I think this is one of the major reasons I like this show - the women in this show have their own motives and reasons that are often exclusive from the men.

Gods, I LOVE this show to tiny bits, it is the one show that keeps on bringing the awesome. Why aren’t more people watching?

Um, I have not seen the last 2 or 3 eps of Supernatural.

I KNOW.

All of the characters are so alive and amusing. It has nowhere near the emotional awesomeness of TSCC but it has smart, not-lazy writing. Things HAPPEN. I love it.

The only thing that I would resent it for is that it's... not really that ficcable. I don't know why.

Exactly! The writing is smart, the plot moves at an amazing pace, and it is kind of awesome.

I have this theory that really well written fiction is always so much more difficult to fic for that lazy writing. Despite it is simple premise TVD is really well written, plots are tightly executed. Also TVD have so many different things going for it - several different plots, many character arcs, and this is not even counting the flashbacks. It is incredibly difficult to write for this show when there are SO many things happening simultaneously that have not been resolved yet. I don't know, there is more of a sense of 'NOW, NOW, NOW' with TVD that doesn't require me to go out and search for fic.

Not that I wouldn't read them, just a lack of urge to do so. The series caters pretty well for me (EXCEPT for the lack of an AWESOME threesome between the brothers and Elena... or, Damon and his string of fucked-up relationships before returning to Mystic Falls. Like, the ex-voodoo priestess who promised she would send her Loa to rip out his balls and stick it down his throat if he were ever to return to New Orleans. Or, when Damon had to run because there was a patch of several years where he lost himself in the music and lyrics of a bass player and the lead singer of this emo/rock band that become too famous too fast, and Damon couldn't stay because falling in love was not an option. Or, the the one with the smile and the amazing breasts who blew her brain out because Damon love broken things but never learned how to put them back together. GODS, I WANT THIS SO BADLY).

I keep on hoping that the lack of fic will happen once this season wraps up.

...I want to write this.

Except it would be too... Gary Stu.

YES. The writing is so freaking smart. And nothing really drags on. And despite the fact that they were going through plot twists like a fat kid goes through chocolate, the show has been set up to have so, SO much more to offer. I don't even feel like we're a fourth through what the show can offer. Unlike SPN which peaked at Season 2 and went downhill ever since (*bitter*). There's just so MUCH MORE to explore.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they did a whole season where it was nothing but what happened in 199-something where Katherine just arrived in town and the season wrapped with the great imprisonment in the tomb?

I CANNOT write fiction - I don't have the attention span nor the descriptive ability. *SADS*. Also, if I did write it, the whole thing would inevitably be a crossover with bandom.

I kind of liked season 4 - till the last 5 eps or so. Just lost all interest. Season 5 is going at a GLACIAL pace. Like, it had awesome eps, and then it just DIED a SLOW death (SO BITTER).

OMFG! FLASHBACK would be AWESOME! Like, Katherine is so AWESOME CAKES! Loves her so very much. WANTS!!!
