Watching the new series of 包拯, 包青天. Man, nearly a decade later and the series (or any of the new versions) can still suck me into watching the whole thing within five minutes. The original series was 236 episode you bet your arse I watched the whole series - all the while crying my eyes out.

It is like the Chinese answer to Agatha Christie, except with MORE Kung Fu, royalties and much more AWESOME.

Getting the father to download all 236 episodes of the original series and contemplating the new series.

On other news - Julia Gillard, first female PM of Australia does NOT have my vote. Gender aside, the fact she is going ahead with the internet filter plan, and want to build an asylum-seeker processing centre on East Timor. Yeah, fuck that.

Hahaha 包青天 is like the best series ever in conception, it's Song-dynasty Law And Order with extra kung-fu.

It is AWESOME. Like, it is so DIFFICULT to explain to people who didn't grow up with it, or you know, have a thing for Asian stuff. Because man, I LOVE this show to tiny bits, and it is the only, I suppose, procedural (?) drama that I would watch NONE-STOP.

I was so sad when the series ended, but now it is the REMAKE! With the EXACT SAME CAST from a decade ago. And they have NOT AGED one bit.
