I have finished Cryoburn by Lois McMaster Bujold, the newest offering in the Vorkosigan saga.

The Aftermaths of this book - um, yeah. I think I was expecting this half way through the book. The ways they kept on talking about death, how Miles kept on thinking about all of his dead relatives. The conversation between Mark and he made me nervous, because you know, I remember Bujold saying that all her books are about torturing her main characters in one way or another. And gods, I kept on hoping no, no, no, no, but of course it would happen when Miles was off world, of course Cordelia would have made the decision. I knew this was going to happen but to have it at the end of a book, where Miles had successfully completed a mission with minimum collateral damage, and just the littlest bit of hope, gods, how do you explain to people you are mourning for a fictional character?

So, Admiral Viceroy Count Aral Vorkosigan, Former Regent and Prime Minister of Barrayar has passed away from a brain aneurysm while on Sergyar.

I will be more coherent when I can have more coherent thoughts on the matter.

I need this on paperback.
