I keep on forgetting to mention this on my lj - I have watched Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and is currently watching Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Um, yeah. Fuck, this show is awesome.

There is sex, there is violence, and there is much scheming and back stabbing that it is practically an art-form. Every character have their own agency, no one is truly innocent, and everyone is a commodity to someone else. It is brutal, sexy, and utterly fabulous.

The point is, this series have set a fricking high standard when it comes to trashy entertainment. It is what True Blood wants to be, but fails in every possible way.

Also, Quintus and Lucretia is my OTP. LOVES THEM SO VERY MUCH.

ETA: OK, so I should say the series starts pretty bad, like, the only reason I stuck with it was, well, was for the eye-candy and brainless violence. And then, somehow, I was INVESTED, and WANTED MORE! And just, OMFG! SO GOOD!

It is so strange - it was meant to be my guilty pleasure, you know, the one that you don't expect much from except for pretty and violence. But it was like, somewhere around ep6 or 7 it went from, 'this is fun', to 'OMFG! WHATTHEEVERFUCKINGGODS ARE YOU DOING TO THEM?!!!' And then it was pretty much nail biting goodness, heaped with much sex-goodness, gory-goodness, intrigue-goodness, and then somehow it was HEART-WRENCHING, and the last episode was absolutely TEETH-SHOWING SATISFYING! EXCEPT! LUCRETIA! QUINTUS! And when the hell did I become so attached?! *CRIES*.

Also, I'm an idiot. For the longest time i thought I had friended your new journal. And I was like, gee, I wonder why she hasn't updated earlier, and then it was like, that's because you didnt.

So, um, ooops. And yes, YAY!
